We joined Metpack 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for the metal packaging industry, with a strong focus on welding technology. At our booth, visitors had the opportunity to experience four of our flagship welders, along with our latest powder and curing systems.

Throughout the exhibition, we welcomed a large number of customers, partners, and industry professionals from around the world. The event provided an excellent platform for valuable discussions, new contacts, and the exchange of ideas across the metal packaging industry.

At our booth, we presented modernization concepts for classic welding machines, demonstrating how existing equipment can be upgraded to achieve new levels of durability, efficiency, and safety. Visitors also experienced live demonstrations of mySoudronic, our customer portal offering smart applications for daily operations.

Soudronic welders

Designed in accordance with food-safety guidelines, all welders combine the most proven features and technologies from across the entire Soudronic portfolio. All series offer simplified handling and improved production performance. Key innovations include:

  • A redesigned wire drive system with considerably less wire loops and rolls.
  • A DISCON+ D-Lock roller head connection for better current conduction, reduced risk of leaks due to mishandling, and longer lifetime.
  • A completely redesigned cooling system, the new FLUID+ closed-loop system that replaces previously separate units.

SOUCAN series

The SOUCAN 860 S was showcased alongside the SOUCAN 660 S and is based on the new SOUCAN 800/1000 S series. It includes all of the reliable features of the S series. These bodymakers come with the well-established, high-performance «letterbox» rounding system. Additionally, the newly developed, longer run-out conveyor ensures the stable and precise transport of long aerosol cans.

COMPACT top- and bottom-seam welder

Looking for a flexible canbody welder offering cutting-edge technology, advanced safety, and outstanding value? The new COMPACT series delivers exactly that.

The COMPACT is the first welding machine in the market that uniquely integrates two canbody welding concepts in one machine design. Small cans are welded in the traditional concept with seam on top while large and heavy containers are welded on the bottom.

Outside powder system PowerCOAT oP

Just launched a new product but unhappy with the visible welding seam? Choose the color from our new powder type that perfectly matches your canbody decoration. With PowerCOAT oP the usually time-consuming change of powder color is done within 15 to 30 minutes.

To ensure that only a minimal amount of powder gets in the can, we developed the ZeroGAP system that constantly monitors and adjusts the gap between each canbody.

PowerCURE induction curing oven

This advanced, compact induction curing oven is ideal for general and food can lines. Its modular coil design maximizes energy efficiency by optimizing the introduction of heat into metal at the smallest possible can-to-coil-gap. It produces zero CO2 and NOX emissions and eliminates the need for handling a gas supply in production plants, ultimately reducing costs.
