Strong customer commitment

Highest engineering standards, long-lasting quality and maximum system efficiency are the basis of our outstanding reputation around the world. By investing a high percentage of our annual sales in research and development and in the continuous refinement of our products, we make sure that our systems represent state-of-the-art technology. An impressive number of long-term patents is proof for our high innovation rate. Although we are very meticulous about every single technological detail and quality aspect of our products, the needs of our customers are always in the center of our attention.

Our customers typically do not invest in showroom equipment nor in technical gadgets. Quite the contrary is true: they are looking for maximum efficiency and flexibility, user-friendliness and a committed customer service. Working in an extremely competitive environment, they are keen on increasing productivity while further reducing reject rates and scrap material. And they often have to react quickly to changing market demands and therefore need to rely on a flexible production infrastructure. By providing tailor-made solutions to each and every customer, we have become a reliable partner of an increasing number of customers.

Soudronic and Sustainability

At Soudronic, we believe the canmaking industry has a responsibility to enlighten consumers about the largely unperceived ecological benefits of our products. If this helps to change consumer perceptions about metal packaging – and push up recycling rates still further – we will already have taken a major step forward.

Metal is one of the most economical, environment-friendly and hence sustainable forms of packaging available to manufacturers today. And the arguments in its favor are compelling.

First and foremost is the fact that metal cans today require far less raw material than in the past. Soudronic leads the way in the development of the advanced can making machines needed to work with downgauged tinplate, i.e., sheet metal stock of as little as 0.10 mm in thickness.

Lighter cans mean more containers per ton of tinplate, savings on natural resources and, overall, a significant reduction in the world’s carbon emissions footprint.

Apart from the technological advances that make metal packaging so attractive, steel has countless advantages that put it in an environmental class of its own. According to the Association of European Producers of Steel for Packaging, the recycling rate of steel packaging in Europe rose from 72% in 2009 to 85.5% today, making metal the most recycled packaging.

Learn more about the benefits of the food can.

Metal recycles forever

Made from an infinitely recyclable material, the can is easily sorted, efficiently recycled, and has a high end-of-life economic value, which make it a great example of a sustainable packaging option that is well-suited for real circularity. When it comes to sustainable but also safe and versatile packaging, it’s therefore pretty hard to beat cans.
